WOM Secures ISO 45001:2018 Recertification

Recertification helps further protect employees and visitors from work-related incidents

HOUSTON, TX, August 9, 2022 – – Worldwide Oilfield Machine (“WOM”) today announced it has successfully earned ISO 45001:2018 recertification for its Canemont location.  WOM earned this distinction after completing multiple audits conducted by a third-party certifying body.

“Achieving ISO 45001:2018 certification highlights our commitment to our employees, community and customers, by continuously evaluating and improving our safety processes to ensure we exceed the highest standards possible,” said Rani Puranik, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. “WOM owes this recognition to the dedication of our employees and safety leaders who continue to push the company forward, with their participation and commitment. Our WOM employee partners not only want our company to be known as a world-class manufacturer, but an industry role model, advocating for innovation in safety, sustainability, and quality.”

ISO 45001 is the world’s international standard for occupational health and safety. This certification is issued to protect employees and visitors from work-related accidents and diseases. ISO 45001 certification was developed to mitigate any factors that can cause employees and businesses irreparable harm. Its standards originate through a committee of health and safety management experts who looked closely at multiple approaches to system management, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. The ISO 45001 standard was designed to take other existing occupational health and safety standards, such as OHSAS 18001, into account, as well as the ILO’s labor standards, conventions and safety guidelines.

WOM’s ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015 certifications require comprehensive audits by internal teams and validation by a third-party certifying body to ensure conformance with the standard.
